Uncharted Lancaster
Adam Zurn’s field guide to the strange, storied, and hidden. National Treasure meets this county. We are not them. We just think they do the work right.
Adam Zurn started Uncharted Lancaster in 2019. He is a Lampeter-Strasburg teacher — programming, videography — who moved here from Susquehanna County for Millersville and never left. Conestoga Township. Basement full of maker-space gear and county history. The pitch is his: National Treasure meets local history. Geocaching, only better. Raiders, The Goonies, the Uncharted games. Then he went and built the real version on this ground.
The site is scavenger hunts, deep-dive local history, haunted reporting, guided walks, petroglyphs, maps, and the books. COVID blew it open because the woods were what you could still do. Parents hiked four miles for a plastic coin. The Haunted Lancaster series is why our Legends tab has a spine. Witch sisters, the 1869 snakes, Gonder, Shock Graveyard, Rock Point Tunnel, the sand pit — he walked it and wrote it down. If you want the primary, you go to him.
